This is the first Philicorda exclusive device available that has every individual vox and octave mixture tested independently.
The exclusive Philicorda contains 2 places of changes, the first set initiating octaves and the second set initiating different comments, which produce different harmonic features. Originally we thought testing would be pretty simple as we could just history the different comments at each octave and part them together. But after learning the routine plan we noticed this was not going to be possible!
The Philicorda uses what is known as a regularity divider panel, which makes a high regularity waveform and then produces various sine surf below this regularity at different durations. These can then be triggered using the VOX changes. Because the surf are produced simultaneously they stay completely stage arranged with one another, which gives it a very strong, complete audio. The problem with testing Vox configurations independently and then recombining to replicate the exclusive device, is that when you recombine them, the moment variations in stage positioning eventually cause it to audio slim and phasey - and nothing like the genuine thing.
Basically there is no way to reproduce these appears to be consistently without testing every individual mixture.
